Mama lesson #24. Imagination.

So, I've mentioned before about Luca and his fascination with the gardener and his leaf blower. Luca turns anything and everything into a leaf blower, from tape measures, to water noodles, everything somehow becomes a leaf blower. I was at Target the other day and I saw an actual kids toy leaf blower. Equipped with sounds, a blower and all! I went to put it in the cart, then stopped. He seems so content making his toys into other things. I love his imagination and how far it stretches. Why do I need to buy him something that takes the imagination out of his routine?

It made me consider my own imagination. And how often, when I want to make a change in my life, generally I rush out to buy something new. A new car, a new outfit, a new haircut, whatever. Instead, can you close your eyes and take a moment to imagine your best, healthiest self. Fill that image with details from your life. See your self in your favorite outfit, in your favorite place, with your favorite people. Notice the sounds, the smells, the tastes. Let the contentment you feel wash over your body. When you open your eyes, look around at your life and recognize how blessed you are. See if there is something old you can get creative with and turn it into something new and different. Piece together a completely new outfit from things you already have. Paint an old piece of furniture and move it to a new place to give it new energy! Allow yourself to use your imagination again! Stop trying to buy your life, just live your life!‪#‎namaste‬ ‪#‎kidgurus‬ Mukti Yoga School Yoga Bound Carlsbad Village ‪#‎thankyou‬ ‪#‎mamalessons‬
