Mama Lesson #15

Mama lesson # 15. Door Candy. Since we moved a few months ago, Luca likes to play with the pots. He specifically likes the colander and uses it to make what he calls 'door candy'. We've been baffled as to where he came up with this name, but we've played along and he likes to make us his special door candy for dessert.

Finally today, after months of pretending with door candy, it hit me where he got the name.... Halloween! Last year, I had specific candy set aside that was for people who came to the door. He kept filling his trick or treat bag with the candy for people who came to the door, thus 'door candy' was born.

What kind of lesson can I learn from this you ask? Sometimes we have this urge to want to know and understand 'why'. We want to know why certain trials, certain situations, certain individuals have entered our lives. We ask ourselves, why do I have to go thru this again and again? The truth is you may never know. But perhaps, you'll look back one day and it will all make sense. All you can do now is trust that the unexpected events that get thrown your way are your own form of spiritual education. One day, maybe in this life, maybe in the next, you'll look back and say, aha!, I get it, door candy!

May you all continue to learn and to love the lessons that surround you. As always I'm grateful for my little gurus. Namaste. ‪#‎lifedoesntmakesense‬‪#‎lookingback‬ ‪#‎kidguru‬ ‪#‎yogibabies‬ ‪#‎mamayogi‬ ‪
