The one truth... Change
by Wendy Garafalo on March 15th, 2016

I was asked recently about what my truths are.  One of my truths is that life is constantly changing.  NEWS FLASH...  Are you ready for it?  By the time you finish reading this you'll be older than when you started reading.  That is a tough truth we like to dismiss and not really think about.  But, its true.  And when you stop to think about it, thank God its true.  How boring and completely predictable life would be without change.

So, I'm taking this concept of change into my yoga practice and teaching.  My practice has changed immensely in the last 5, even 10 years.  My teaching has changed since I started.  The way I instruct poses has changed for the better.  I'm continually open to changing, to asking if what I'm doing is working and to making the necessary adjustments to ensure that my students can practice yoga safely their entire lives.

So, I'm committing now to writing about the changes I experience with my teaching.  My hope is to share them with you so that you may recognize that it is okay to question your practice, your teacher and the way you teach.  Yoga is constantly evolving for the better.  We are learning new ways to avoid injury to create more balance in the body.  If we didn't ask questions, get hurt and continue to evolve, this practice wouldn't be as enticing.  And my love affair with yoga runs deep because it is constantly changing and embracing me wherever I am in that moment.

So stay tuned yogi's.  Fun blogs coming about the ways I'm changing my teaching for the better.  May you all find the inspiration you need in your life to accept change and ride the waves it creates in your lives.  #namaste #mamayogi #change #truth #yogaalignment #foreverastudent.
