Mama lesson #3

Mama lesson #3. Shadows. About a month ago, Avi was afraid of her shadow. It took us a few weeks to get thru, but we did and now when she sees her shadow, she waves and bends down to give it a kiss! She's teaching me to shine a light on my own shadows, one of which is, I am a grudge holder. It's probably a small part of why I don't let too many people get too close. I don't like to hold grudges, so unconsciously if I keep you at arms distance, you won't get close enough to hurt me and I won't have to carry another grudge with me. This week I've been working on letting go, which I find extremely difficult. So instead of letting go, I'm focusing on shifting light. I recognize that shadow is made by light and realizing that I have so much light in my life, there is bound to be shadows. So I'm using my breath and a shining light meditation to breathe in light and to shine that light on my shadows. May we all have the courage and strength to do the same. Namaste.
